It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Our tree is up! We put it up last night as we enjoyed egg nog and Coke and Pandora. Bug was really most interested in her old baby car seat that we removed from the closet to reach the Christmas decorations. She did help place a few items on the tree……..

Today we continued our annual tradition of painting Christmas ornaments for one another! JP and I actually started doing this while we were dating. The first two years we hit up Hobby Lobby for ceramic ornaments and colored them with Sharpies, then “finished” them with spray. We now try to find a pottery place and paint together. Bug really had no idea what was going on. She was more interested in paining the paint tray instead of the ornament, but I think she enjoyed it regardless.

Christmas music has been playing since about mid-October and we are in full Christmas mode around our household. Doesn’t get much better!!

At the Park

One of our favorite activities is heading out to the park! Bug would stay all day long if I would let her. The cooler weather has made for some fantastic park time as of late.

Bug despised the swings initially, but now swinging is her favorite. She is quite the dare devil on the equipment and really has no care for this reality we know as gravity……

One Little Lady Bug

Bug thoroughly enjoyed Halloween this year. Of course, she was a lady bug, and a pretty cute one at that. She visited a few houses in our neighborhood and thought the whole process was fantastic. She actually wanted to venture inside our neighbors’ houses as she accepted candy. Here are pictures of our cute little bug!!

Bug was so proud of all of her goodies. We let her enjoy a sucker for about 30 seconds. She was most interested in the suckers out of all the candy in her bag. She had an absolute blast being outside, making new friends, and seeing lots of kiddos!!

Go Pokes!!

This weekend we ventured to Waco to watch OSU play Baylor. The weather was fantastic and there was even a pleasant breeze. The Cowboys walked away with a victory and we had a fabulous time!!

This is how Abigail spent the 2nd quarter.

*****In case you hadn’t heard, Bug had tubes placed in her ears last Tuesday. (10.20.09) This is a picture of her before we went back for the procedure.

They had tons of toys to keep the kids occupied for the wait. Everything went excellent. They actually had her back in “surgery” before her scheduled time. We had to hand her off to a nurse at the doors. She had her little blankie with her and we saw her bottom lip roll down and heard a little whimper. From there, it was less than 10 minutes before the doctor came out and said everything went great. We arrived at the hospital at 6:30 am and were home by 9:30 am. We are so so thankful! We are hopeful that this will alleviate any and all ear pain and infections. From now on we will treat any ear infection from the outside, basically, with drops. She will also continue her wheat and dairy free diet. Bug was a bit tired the rest of Tuesday, but was back to 100% by Wednesday!!

Zoo Boo

We had a family day at the zoo and Abigail loved every last second! She could not get enough of all there was to see. She was most certainly more comfortable knowing there was glass in between her and the wild animals this time. She wanted to “gock” (walk) the whole time and was completely worn out by the time we headed to the car.

Abigail is now enthralled by animals and we read “Goodnight Zoo” several times each day. We are hoping to frequent the zoo while the weather is so delightful!!
